This is the 2026 Herriman Cross Country Schedule. Remember that this is an ever changing document and additions and subtractions will occur as we get closer to events and more information becomes available. The schedule is set and finalized with the guidance of coaches each season.
Herriman Time Trial - July 6, 2026 - Herriman HS Back Field - (7:30 am warm-ups begin, first time trial at 8:00 am)
Our annual time trial is split between two distances - 2.5 miles and 1 mile. The 2.5 mile time trial is a great distance for challenging yourself with a longer race and is also used as a qualification race for our top 16 boys and top 16 girls for cross country camp (8th-12th grade). The 1 mile time trial will be held afterwards and is a good distance for our newer athletes to see where they’re at after a few weeks of training (but willl not be used for qualifying to camp). Schedule:
7:30-8:00 AM: Athletes warm up on their own. Athletes are welcome to start their warmup before this if needed
7:40 AM: Parent volunteers meet at the portables in the parking lot for assignments
8:00 AM: 2.5 mile time trial start
8:30 AM: 1 mile time trial start (pending all athletes are accounted for from the first time trial)
8:45-9:15: Athletes cool down and time trial clean up

6:00 - Meet at 951 E 100 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84102. Bathrooms are limited at the start so plan accordingly. It is good to have a disposable water bottle to sip on and anything else you might need before the race. Coaches will not be staying at this location so make sure you have a way to carry or store anything you bring.

Finish line is on the North side of Liberty Park (roughly 567 E 900 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84105). Parking is tough to find in the surrounding area so it is best to get there after dropping off kids at the warm up location.

Race Course Notes:
- The course will be 3.0 miles.
- 95%+ on grass. Asphalt sections of the course will have rubber mats (except for the parking lot entrance crossing on the south side of course).
- The course will be fully painted and/or flagged. The south side of the course by the playground is super fun and intense and will be lined fully with spectators, please watch the lines and the flags so we are maintaining a clear path for the athletes.
- The awards stage will be set up between the START and FINISH lines. We are excited to have a race announcer this year, he will be set up on the awards stage with a perfect view of the START and FINISH.
